Melissa Bulick was a member of the class of 2009 at �鶹ֱ��, and returning as a 7th-grade ELA teacher has been a full-circle experience. Mrs. Bulick grew up in the TFS community and spent time as a substitute teacher while attending college. Since joining the faculty in 2021, she shares that “It feels like I have the opportunity to give back to a community that helped shape me as a person.”

Inside the Classroom: Stacey Kababik

Stacey Kababik is entering her 22nd year teaching at TFS. After 15 years of teaching at St. Mary’s School in Quincy, Massachusetts, Ms. Kababik joined the TFS community in 2005 and has inspired 5th graders ever since.

For middle school students, some of the most important moments on a team have little to do with the final score. These moments happen in the car ride home from a game, during practice when teammates encourage each other through a tough drill, or even after a loss. They can happen when a new student finds a place to belong, when a player learns to trust their teammates, or when an athlete gets knocked down but gets up and tries again.

Installed in November 2025, this new feature provides a pivotal focal point for students, faculty, and parents each morning as we gather as a school family. And it is truly stunning.

Life-Changing Experience: Steubenville Youth Conference

From June 19-21, a group of students from TFS, accompanied by faculty members, traveled to Steubenville, Ohio, to attend the Steubenville Youth Conference, joining nearly 2,000 Catholic teenagers from across the country for 3 days of prayer, worship, fellowship, and spiritual renewal.

New Curriculum Takes Flight: Core Knowledge Language Arts

At the start of the 2025–2026 school year, TFS proudly adopted the Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) program for students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. This important curriculum shift was the result of extensive research and thoughtful planning that began the previous year, as faculty and administrators sought the best way to provide a consistent, rigorous, and research-based literacy experience for all elementary students.
